I used Behr’s No 63 to open up the pores and make the wood more absorbent. Then I used Behr’s Premium Deck and Fence finish No 500 (Natural). I applied two layers of finish on the deck and the stairs on 9/28/2009.
The first layer was applied with a semi-rough roller (3/4 nap) and worked with a 6″ brush. For the second layer, I just used roller which left a few splotches.
